sorting beans

sortingbeans.jpg

Sorting beans. A little toddler montesorri activity that olee and I did the other day. A montesorri teacher friend of mine, jill, told me about it. Actually I think I enjoyed it more then olee, sorting each bean category into a different muffin hole is very theraputic- kind of like organizing my cupboards and getting rid of clutter. The last time we did this activity olee got really into and sorted them all, but this time he mostly just wanted to plunge his hands into the beans and spread them all around without any order. I figured that was good enough for the moment as we are not always ‘on’ and able to sort out our beans.

This week our internet was on the frizt along with our minds and bodies. The whole household got sick and needed a respite from the go go go- so we took it easy, watched alot of movies, had alot of family bonding time and ’sorted out our beans’ metaphorically speaking he he. ahhhh, it was wonderful.

What a fabulous, fun activity! I will have to try it with R while D’s in school.
I love your needlework BTW! I look forward to seeing more of your work! Felt is such a great medium!

Perfect analogy, that one, “sorting our beans”. Cause just like beans, ones “stuff” can sometimes feel gassy and uncomfortable;)

I think my beans are finally starting to feel sorted too.
